Brother Larry has accompanied families and friends in the wake of deaths gentle and traumatic. He is available to design with you and officiate a service to remember your loved one and console those who love them.
Retreat Facilitator
Brother Larry regularly facilitates retreat experiences that enable exploration of meaning, discovery of purpose, deepening of connection and belonging, and atunement with participants’ significance in their families, communities, and the wider world.
He is a practitioner of the Art of Hosting facilitation practices as well as a range of spiritual practices including labyrinth walks and prayer bead meditation.

FAQs
How much in advance should we contact you?
Many rituals, such as funerals, come together on a relatively short timescale, whereas others, like weddings, usually have a longer lead time to plan. In short, as soon as possible and practicable. Brother Larry strives to be flexible, and will make referrals if he is not available, especially on short notice.
Do you charge for officiant services?
It is customary to pay for any expenses an officiant might incur, including travel expenses, and to provide an honorarium. The amount of the honorarium varies depending on the type of ceremony and amount of preparation involved. Brother Larry is happy to discuss an appropriate range for an honorarium when you meet.
What if I don’t know what I want?
Trying to decide between a baptism and a dedication? Not sure what the difference is? Wondering what exactly is involved in a wedding ceremony? Not to worry! Brother Larry is a scholar of ritual with extensive experience as an officiant of many different types of rituals and so is paricularly capable of helping you understand what various rituals are and think through a range of options for what to include. Just tell him what you’re thinking and he can accompany you in designing an appropriate ceremony from there.
Are you willing to travel to officiate?
Yes! Brother Larry travels regularly to officiate weddings and funerals and to facilitate retreats especially, and he is happy to do so for you. With regard to weddings, please keep in mind that regulations for wedding officiants vary by state and may require that Brother Larry acquire the requisite permission, so if you want him to officiate your wedding elsewhere than Massachusetts, please do contact him as early in the process as possible.
